Terms of service

The agreement between you and Fare Sniper: what the service is, what it is not, what you may do with it, and where the limits of our responsibility sit.

1. Who you are agreeing with

Fare Sniper is operated by LEGAL_ENTITY_NAME, registered at REGISTERED_ADDRESS, company registration number COMPANY_REGISTRATION_NUMBER, VAT VAT_NUMBER. In these terms "we", "us" and "Fare Sniper" mean that entity, and "you" means the person using the service. You can reach us at vilius@belownil.com or through the contact form.

By creating an account or using the free search you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

2. What the service is

Fare Sniper is a flight price search and monitoring tool. It searches public flight prices across many dates, airports and trip shapes, estimates the total cost of a trip including common extras, and notifies you when a route you have asked it to watch becomes cheaper.

3. What the service is not

  • We are not a travel agency, a tour operator, an airline or an agent of any of them. We do not sell, reserve, hold or issue tickets.
  • No price shown by Fare Sniper is an offer, a quotation or a reservation. Prices are indicative, come from third party sources, and change without notice.
  • Any contract for a flight is between you and the airline or the seller you buy from. Their terms, their liability, their refund rules.
  • We are not paid by airlines to rank them, and ranking is done on estimated total cost as described in the help centre.

4. Your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old to hold an account.
  • One account is for one person. Keep your password to yourself and tell us promptly if you think someone else has it.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • We may suspend or close an account that is being used to attack, overload or scrape the service, or to break the law.

5. Acceptable use

  • Do not automate the interface, scrape it, or resell the data it produces.
  • Do not attempt to exceed the rate limits, or to circumvent the plan limits.
  • Do not use the service to do anything unlawful.

6. Plans, payment and renewal

  • The free plan is free and carries the limits published on the pricing page.
  • Paid plans are billed in advance, in euro, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically until cancelled.
  • Payments are taken by our payment processor. We never see or store your card details.
  • You can cancel at any time from your account page. Cancelling stops the next renewal and your plan continues to the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • Refunds and the statutory right of withdrawal are covered by the refund and cancellation policy, which forms part of these terms.
  • Prices may change. An existing subscription keeps its price until the end of its current period, and we will tell you before a renewal at a new price.
  • VAT treatment is VAT_TREATMENT.

7. Availability

We aim to keep Fare Sniper running continuously, but it is provided as it is. There is no uptime guarantee on any plan. Searches depend on third party flight data providers, and when one of them is unavailable or rate limits us, results may be missing or stale. We will not delete your data because of an outage.

8. Accuracy

We take accuracy seriously and we would rather show nothing than show a number we do not trust. Even so, prices, availability, schedules, fees and connection times can be wrong or out of date. Check everything on the airline's own site before you buy or plan around it.

9. Self-transfer and connections

Where Fare Sniper proposes a trip made of more than one booking it labels it as a self-transfer and shows the connection buffer. On separate tickets, no airline is responsible for a missed connection. You accept that risk when you choose to book such a trip, and we are not liable for it. Read self-transfer before booking one.

10. Our liability

  • Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
  • Subject to that, we are not liable for missed flights or connections, for a price you did not manage to book, for a difference between a price we showed and a price an airline charged, or for indirect or consequential loss.
  • Subject to that, our total liability to you in any twelve month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in that period.

11. Ending the agreement

  • You can stop at any time by cancelling your plan or deleting your account.
  • We may end it by giving you reasonable notice, or immediately if you seriously break these terms.
  • If we end a paid plan for a reason that is not your fault, we refund the unused part of the period.

12. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. If a change materially affects you we will tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you may cancel before then. The date at the top of this page is the date of the current version.

13. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of GOVERNING_LAW_COUNTRY, and the courts of JURISDICTION have jurisdiction. As a consumer you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings there. For out of court complaint handling, DISPUTE_RESOLUTION_BODY.
