Stopovers and self-transfer
Two tickets instead of one is often much cheaper. It is also a different kind of risk, and this is where that is spelled out.
What is a stopover trip?
Instead of one ticket to the destination, Fare Sniper prices a hop to a hub and a second ticket onwards, which is often much cheaper and sometimes a whole extra city.
What happens if I miss a connection on a self-transfer?
On two separate tickets, no airline owes you a rebooking if the first flight is late. Fare Sniper labels every trip as protected or self-transfer and refuses to alert on a dangerous connection.
